Look out Iran... Syria... and friends.

The below video speaks of the United States and a portion of the history of the US Dollar and Oil and how the two might play out in the world's arena. Remember that this is someones opinion and you should research this topic to your satisfaction.
I saw this video several months ago after hearing about an oil refinery being planned/built in Yanbu Saudi Arabia that is supposed to be HUGE and will NOT sell it’s oil using the US Dollar in exchange.
Here is the reason for posting this blog entry. The other day I heard president Barak Obama speak some very tough and promising talk that said to me “Keep it up... and you’re next” complete with a loud and attention-getting finger snap.
In the below video you will hear ( at the 5m 40s mark) the list of countries that are “next”. In a way, this post is my way of making a prediction, not so much MY prediction but merely putting 2 and 2 together.

Musky Allen interviewed by Jeff Anderson and Jack Barnes

I've said it before, I am a 'Sasquatch Hopeful'. The Patterson-Gimlin film was shot the year I was born, no, Patty is not my Mom. Since I was a child I've been intensely interested in Sasquatch (I prefer Sasquatch over Bigfoot). To make a long story short; a field researcher named Rick Dyer has allegedly shot and killed a Sasquatch and has the body in a secure facility near LasVegas. He invited a guy named Musky Allen to come and have a look at the body. The interview is Jeff Anderson asking Musky Allen questions about what he saw when he was allowed 20 minutes to view the Sasquatch body. I hope beyond hope that this is not another hoax (Rick Dyer perpetrated a hoax in 2008) and we all get to see video or pictures of this creature soon. My opinion is that it will happen within 1 1/2 years after the kill date which was sometime in September 2012. If it is another hoax, danggit! If not, I will be so happy, not that one had to be killed, but that the mystery of the Sasquatch will come to an end. Enjoy.

Hostage taker dead, Child hostage alive and well.

Unbelievable... 7 days hiding out in an underground bunker with a child hostage after killing a bus driver in front of all the kids on the bus. What did this guy really think was going to happen. I can't believe it went on for as long as it did.

Celtic Knot doodling in MS Paint

I was looking up Celtic Knots on YouTube. I drew a small one on paper first then did this one in MS Paint... my favorite drawing application.

World's Best Ham Sandwich

The other day (Christmas Day) we cooked a spiral cut ham. A glaze packet was included with the ham and of course we made that and poured it over the ham. Needless to say it was a fantastic ham. I took one of the dinner rolls my wife made, split it, dipped each half in the glaze, put some of the glazed ham on it and stood back and looked at the best tasting single thing I've eaten in my life.

Wooden Fountain Pen

Among the few nice gifts I received for Christmas this year was this hand made fountain pen. It was made by a fellow named Steve Freilinger. The ink cartridge that came with it worked the first time after installing it. The ink in the pen works pretty well on the paper in my Moleskine sketchbook. It takes just about 10 seconds to dry.

Provo Canyon Sasquatch sighting - stabilized, slowed and zoomed.

First off, I will state that I am what I call a Sasquatch 'Hopeful'. I am as skeptical as the next guy but it would make my year if one was caught (humanely hopefully) and or some great great close up video not shaky and 100% irrefutable.

With that said, I saw this morning that there was some new video from two guys camping in Provo Canyon in Utah. I pulled the video and did some stabilizing, slowing and zooming to get a good look at what the two guys saw. I'm about 80-20 on this video. 80 being believable and 20 being not-so-much.
The 'Sasquatch' looks good as far as behavior, body proportions (arm length).

The 20 that makes me skeptical is that it appears to be late Fall, a little snow on the ground (seen when guys are running) so I'd have to assume it's pretty cool if not cold and the guys don't seem to be dressed for the cold. I say that without actually know the temp and/or the exact time of the year or the situation. It's just a thought I developed after watching the clip about a dozen times. Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

Bathroom remodel done (99.9%)

My lovely wife and are 99.9% done with the bathroom remodel work over at my bother-in-law's house. We started it a few weeks back and are now pretty much done. There are always a few little things to tidy up. I was surprised how it turned out, it looks good. We used self-adhesive stick floor tiles and those suckers are amazingly sticky.

I would love to work for Google...

I just watched about 10 videos on YouTube on different Google workplaces. Result: I would love to work for Google. I am a Software Developer and have been one for quite a while. I really like what I do and I feel we use cutting edge products and technologies but Google takes it further than the rest. Besides the cool workplace, the cool people and the good food; what really turns me on about Google is the environment of ideas. I think I come up with pretty good ideas but I don't fool myself thinking they are all great but I know some are. I love sharing my ideas with people, getting feedback, but it would be level 4 cool if once in a while if one took off. Sorry for sounding like a 5th grader writing a book report.
Go to YouTube and check out a few videos on Google, start with "Google Datacenter" and there will be plenty of suggested video off to the side there. It's interesting to see the hardware and the people behind the scenes of the 'internet' or at least Google's part of it.

I don't know where this workplace is, after all... I just Googled the image and now you're looking at it.

This is a room at a Google workplace in Zurich Switzerland. I could hang in here.

What are the odds... ?

I am sometimes way too amused by small and simple things, please indulge me. I literally tossed (pretty much) some ice into my water cup at work and this is how the ice landed and got jammed. I waited about 2 minutes for one ice mass to melt enough to give way. After 2 minutes I bashed them all into the cup. Crazy stuff.

What you are reading was written from the other side of the glass partition backwards by the guy on the other side. He writes a new one about every other day.

WARNING - HOT WATER

I present to you the world's most unusable hot water spigot. The old coffee maker had the hot water spigot right on the front and it poured out tons of hot water.
This guy is tucked away up underneath the top part and the opening is 1/4" away from the metal part it comes out of. I can barely get two hands in there. One hand to work the spigot and the other to hold the thing I'm trying to put hot water in. AND... the hot water just dribbles out.
Please notice that the whole coffee maker is turned to the left just to get to it as it is normally 3" away from the right wall keeping it well-hidden.

Hot Bag of Sketti

Credit goes to Daniel Dennis and Tom "Drunky" Vann for coming up the much-wished-for carnival food: Hot Bag of Sketti.

It kind of works best to portion and cut up the sketti. I also added two all beef hotdogs (cut up of course) for protein.

Here is the spaghetti, sauce and hot dogs in the bag before mixing.
After mixing. Note: adding parmasen cheese makes the mixing take longer. Next time I'll mix it all in a big mixing bowl then bag it up.
Later that night on break at work.
Sitting, feet up, enjoying. As you see, I chose to use a spoon.

Overall, this works! Pre-mixing will be the way I do it from now on, other than that it is a great way to take along some delicious and tasty food. Thanks Dan & Tom! Thanks for stopping by,

2012 College World Series - Arizona vs FSU

The 2012 NCAA College World Series is in town, not a secret to Omahans by any means. Last year was the first time I've gone to a game for a long long time. This series is the second year for the series at the new TD Ameritrade baseball park. The Creighton Bluejays also play their home games there now. Last Friday night my wife and I went to the 2nd game of the series; Arizona vs Florida State. The game went 12 innings tied 3 to 3 with Arizona finally winning with a 2-base hit RBI without FSU answering in the bottom of the 12th. It was on the warm side of perfect with barely a cloud in the sky.
